ARC Wins Strong Response for Agent Accreditation Mark

Over 500 Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) accredited locations have downloaded the ARC Accreditation Mark and the VTC (Verified Travel Consultant) Mark since the program's recent launch. “The early response to the new ARC program is very encouraging and we expect more locations to take advantage of the program,” an ARC spokesman said.

ARC launched the marks in response to travel agent requests for an effective way to promote ARC credentials to both consumers and suppliers. The stylish, high-resolution ARC Accreditation Mark is available, free of charge, for use by all active ARC-accredited agents with an airline ticketing appointment. About 18,000 ARC locations could qualify for use of the marks along with over 300 VTC’s.

The VTC Mark is similarly available to ARC-certified VTC's. Among the features is the ability of visitors to agent websites to click on the ARC Accreditation Mark and VTC Mark, which link to an interface that will verify the agency’s or VTC’s accreditation or certification status.

“The new ARC Accreditation Mark may be the perfect way to highlight a travel agency’s obtainment of the gold standard in travel agent accreditation," said Lauri Reishus, general manager of ARC Industry Products and Services as the program was launched.

The marks can be displayed on an agency’s website or on business stationery. ARC believes customers and travel suppliers will appreciate knowing that the agency is fully accredited by ARC.
