Lynn Hayes, CWT Vacations, (formerly Piedmont Vacations), Greenville, SC, has been elected chairman of the Association of Retail Travel Agents (ARTA). Hayes previously served as ARTA chairman from 1997 to 2000.
Other newly elected ARTA executive committee officials include: Jane Dever, Crosby Cruises & Tours, Florida, NY, vice chairman; Carol Young, Experience Travel, Hixon, TN, secretary; John Faulds, Travel Destinations, Scottsdale, AZ, treasurer and Nancy Linares, Holidays N’Travel, Austin, TX, member-at-large.
ARTA also has re-branded its organizational identity with a new logo and banner that seeks to convey ARTA’s objective of assisting travel agencies to build profitability and ARTA’s role in advocacy, education and strengthening sales. ARTA was founded in 1963 and is headquartered in Scottsdale AZ.
