As a follow-up to the decisions made at the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) Council of Ministers Meeting in June, the CTO has proceeded with plans for a CTO Leadership Strategy Conference for October 8-11 in Barbados.
The Conference incorporates the visit of Willie Walsh, CEO of British Airways, together with other airline executives.
At the conference, elections of the five Allied representatives to serve on the CTO Board of Directors; and one representative to serve on the Executive Committee will take place. Elections at this Conference will install new leadership at the highest levels of Caribbean tourism.
Leaders in regional and international aviation will focus on key issues. There will be significant opportunities for networking at the most senior levels. Leaders will also address matters pertaining to financing, marketing, branding, distribution, immigration, security and sustainability.
While appropriate attention is being placed on tactics, the clear need for strategic thinking will also be reflected in presentations by the CTO secretariat and the invited speakers.
