Celebrity Cruises Makes Home-Based Appeal

Celebrity Cruises' new "Starring [email protected]" program is focused on ingratiating home-based travel agents through regional learning opportunities, training seminars and ship tours.

Throughout March and June, more than 500 agents and prospective guests will take part in the program, which will cover 11 events on six ships in five North American ports. The program allows agents to bring prospective clients on board Celebrity ships so they can get a true feel for the product. Dondra Ritzenthaler, Celebrity's senior vice president of sales, said that many agents expressed interest in having their clients see and visit the ship. This was Celebrity's impetus for the new program.

Each program includes an escorted ship tour, a brand update and lunch. Events are scheduled for San Francisco, Vancouver, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Seattle. Visit http://www.celebritycruises.com. (DE)
