Child Travel Services, Inc., Partners With Travelport

Travelport reports a long term renewal with Child Travel Services, Inc., based in Colchester, VT. Travelport will continue to serve as Child Albany Travel’s travel technology partner and provide access to travel content including air, hotel, car rental and cruise lines via its Apollo platform.

The agreement also provides Child Albany Travel with the Travelport Universal Desktop. Child Albany Travel is among the first of Travelport’s U.S. customers to benefit from the application, which streamlines the travel booking process, Travelport says.

Travelport Universal Desktop represents the next-generation in travel agency desktops, Travelport says, providing travel agents with an intuitive interface and access to multi-source content and pricing.

Ted Child, owner and president, Child Albany Travel, commented, “Travelport is a longstanding, trusted GDS partner of 29 years. Our continued relationship with them remains integral to the on-going, long-term success of our business. This new agreement is a reflection of the confidence we have in Travelport’s innovative technology solutions, content and dedicated support, which we believe lead the industry and are best suited for our further growth.”

Added Child, “We are excited to be partnering with Travelport on their new Universal Desktop application. We are focused on deploying the best technology to ensure we provide our travelers with optimal service and travel data management so crucial in today's business landscape.”
