Travel agents and tour operators can book at preferred, negotiated rates while earning competitive commissions. Beyond booking and holding reservations online, agents using the new booking engine also may instantly confirm availability for hotels and services, add transfers and excursions, track bookings and more.

When phase two of the company’s booking engine is unveiled in the coming months, registered agents and operators also will be able to book car rentals and vacation packages.

"We are very pleased with the new functionality available to agents at CIG’s website -- offering them access to booking travel for individuals at preferred rates, while earning attractive commissions,” said Armindo Ferreira, vice president of sales, CIG. “We know that a favorable booking experience is a key step in nurturing great allies in travel."

Ferreira said it's also important for travel agent partners to receive the most accurate, up-to-date booking information available. "Our easy-to-use booking engine helps accomplish these objectives accurately and efficiently," he said.

Agents can go directly to the online site to register and use the new CIG North America booking engine for free. As an added incentive for agents, CIG is currently offering a bonus commission or cash bonus.

On an ongoing basis, CIG will post special offers exclusively available online including hot deals and special agent promotions within a registered agent’s profile.

CIG provides travel services that range from meetings to incentives, conventions, medical congresses, symposiums, special interest group travel and leisure travel of any size including independent travel programs in North America, Europe and the Caribbean.
