CLIA Opens Registration for Ship Inspections at cruise3sixty

Anticipating strong travel agent interest, the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) opened registration for cruise3sixty ship inspections. For five days – Thursday through Monday – during and after cruise3sixty 2011, scheduled for April 14-17 at the Fort Lauderdale/Broward Country Convention Center, 20 cruise ships, including the world’s biggest and newest, will welcome delegates on guided tours in Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

Among the vessels open to delegates will be Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, the two largest; Norwegian Cruise Line’s new Epic, the third largest cruise ship in the world; five of Carnival Cruise Line’s most popular ships, including Carnival Liberty, Valor, Destiny, Glory and Imagination; the MSC Poesia; three Celebrity Cruises vessels, including Celebrity Eclipse and Solstice; Holland America Line’s Noordam and others.

“Ship inspections are a vitally important component of cruise3sixty and also one of the events most in demand,” said Bob Sharak, CLIA’s executive vice president. “We already have over 1,000 travel agents registered for the conference, which virtually guarantees yet another sell-out; last year’s cruise3sixty sold out eight weeks prior to the event. This means there will be strong interest in ship inspections, so we urge all those delegates to register immediately.

“We urge other agents who may not have signed up for cruise3sixty to do so without delay to ensure a place before we close registration” Sharak continued. “This is an exceptional opportunity to learn more about the cruise industry and further your professional development, so don’t miss it.”
