Cruise Holidays International, a member, recently honored its top agencies on a President’s Circle Cruise. This year, the company invited the top-performing Cruise Holidays travel agents on a Mekong river cruise, designed to celebrate their successes as well as provide them with first-hand knowledge of Vietnam and Cambodia.

In partnership with sponsors such as AIG, Globus, Uniworld and Viking, Cruise Holidays aimed at providing their agencies and agency owners with a unique and enjoyable experience celebrating the recent year.

The celebrations took place onboard AmaWaterways’ AmaDara from August 14-August 22. In total, 20 Cruise Holiday agencies were honored as 2016 President’s Circle award winners. Winners were determined based on their overall gross profit or their year-over-year growth.

Travelers were greeted with warm hospitality and smiles from locals. After arriving in Siem Reap, guests were treated to a sunrise tour of the temple at Angkor Wat.

During the trip, invitees sailed the Mekong, the longest river in Southeast Asia. The cruise visited historic Oudong, the former royal capital of Cambodia, and toured a monastery where guests received a special Buddhist blessing. While in Kampong Tralach, the President’s Circle honorees rode an oxcart through rice paddies surrounding a small village. Guests also had the opportunity to visit the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh and the Silver Pagoda, home to various national treasures including gold and jeweled Buddha statues.
