Travelzest, a travel group that offers specialist travel programs, has acquired Canadian luxury cruise retailer, The Cruise Professionals, for $13 million. The Cruise Professionals was formed in 1987 by Mary Jean Tully, who will remain on as chairman and CEO, to tap the luxury cruise segment. The company now employs 41 travel professionals.
The move was partly made to tap into markets outside North America. "We believe that becoming part of Travelzest will help the business move beyond the North American market and capitalize on the growing global demand for luxury cruises."
