CruiseOne & Cruises Inc. Launch Conference App

smartphoneCruiseOne and Cruises Inc.  report the launch of an mobile App for their joint 2012 National Conference. Both  retail networks are part of World Travel Holdings (WTH). Themed “Creating Magical Memories,” more than 600 have registered for the seven-day event set for October 14-21, 2012 at the Walt Disney World Resort and aboard the Disney Dream cruise ship.

Offered in cooperation with Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Cruise Line, this year’s event will mark a first by taking place both on land and at sea, the groups said. 

The conference features a week of continuing education including interactive, motivational general sessions, keynotes, workshops and power networking opportunities. The companies also said they will showcase their expanded land program and full-service travel planning capabilities. The conference will begin with four nights at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, followed by three nights aboard Disney Dream.
 
Designed with the specific needs of National Conference attendees in mind, the companies’ mobile app will provide real-time programming updates and event-related announcements. While on-site during the October festivities, the app will provide:
 
    •    Speaker biographies and images
    •    Vendor and company profiles
    •    Session names, descriptions, times and locations
    •    Interactive maps of event venues, theme parks and Disney Dream’s deck plans
    •    Real-time curriculum updates
    •    Customizable schedules for individual attendees
    •    Real-time photo uploads, photo sharing and social networking opportunities
