CruiseOne Signs Agreement for Expansion in UK

CruiseOne, a rapidly growing full-service U.S. based travel agency franchise, reports it has signed a master franchise relationship with the UK-based agency Cruise118

Cruise118 will launch a strategic plan to grow the business, aiming to close ten new franchise sales by the end of 2011 and up to 20 franchises by the end of 2012, CruiseOne says.

CruiseOne is owned and operated by World Travel Holdings (WTH), which purchased a stake in Cruise118 in 2010.

“Over the past 20 years, CruiseOne has become a powerhouse in the United States and really emerged as an innovative front-runner, when it comes to the travel agency model,” said Dwain Wall, senior vice president and general manager of CruiseOne.

“We believe there is an opportunity to continue growing our business domestically while at the same time, forging strategic partnerships that make sense in key international markets," Wall said.

“We expect that the CruiseOne business model, which has been so successful in the United States, will translate well to this (UK) marketplace, especially appealing to home-based workers who are active in their local communities,” said James Cole, director of Cruise118.

“We offer a solution to those who are passionate about starting their own business and have an interest in travel.  This is a business model we are committed to and look forward to growing with the right people," Cole said.

CruiseOne UK is a member of the British Franchise Association and is working with Barclays to provide funding to potential franchisees.
