The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) has announced the postponement of its annual Caribbean Conference on Sustainable Tourism Development, commonly known as the Sustainable Tourism Conference.

“The current global situation has made it difficult for countries and delegates to give their full attention to the conference, therefore, after much consideration, CTO has taken the decision to defer the conference,” Interim Secretary General Hugh Riley, wrote in a statement. “However, while the event is not being staged this year, a significant amount of interest has already been shown by some CTO Member Countries in hosting the event in 2010.”
