Danie Malan of the Mantis Group Dies at 51

Danie Malan, managing director of the Mantis Group, a collection of game reserves and boutique hotels in South Africa, England, Scotland and Europe, died on February 20th at the age of 51.

Malan, a native of Johannesburg, spent many years in the hospitality industry. In 1995, Malan was hired by CEO Adrian Gardiner as managing director of the Mantis Group.

Malan leaves his wife Nicky and their three sons, Christopher, Mark, Matthew and daughter, Chantelle.
