Danielle Cirami-Gillis Promoted to VP Event Sales, Questex Hospitality + Travel

NEW YORK (Oct. 10, 2014) ─ Questex Hospitality + Travel has promoted Danielle Cirami-Gillis to vice president of event sales, responsible for leading the company’s sales efforts that target the leisure travel market and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) segment.

Gillis most recently served Questex Hospitality + Travel as global director of events and media, responsible for sales and development of the company’s Global Meeting & Incentive Travel Exchanges and HSMAI’s MEET series of events. Her accomplishments include leading a multimillion-dollar global sales effort that encompassed live events, online advertising and other digital products. 

Gillis, who brings nearly 15 years of sales and event management experience to her new role, joined Questex in 2005 and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility including regional account manager, group sales manager and director of sales.She has been recognized by Questex on numerous occasions for exceeding company goals and demonstrating excellence in sales leadership and business development.

Earlier in her career, Gillis served in account management positions for CMP Media LLC in New York, where she generated significant trade show revenue during her four-year tenure. 

She earned a bachelor of arts degree at Long Island University’s LIU Post campus in Brookville, New York. 

Gillis is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Society of International Travel Executives (SITE), Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI), Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) and American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA).
