Destinations to Watch – TV and Radio Will Put These Places on Your Clients’ Radar

We’ve written before on how reality TV can be a great source of inspiration for your clients’ travels. In that spirit, here are some destinations that are soon to be featured on the TV and radio that you might want to keep an eye on.

Antigua

The final two episodes of “The Bachelorette” are set to air July 29 and August 5, highlighting the Caribbean island of Antigua. To take advantage of the buzz Elite Island Resorts is rolling out “The Bachelorette Ultimate Caribbean Getaway Sweepstakes,” which nets five travelers the chance to win a seven-night all-inclusive stay at St. James’s Club & Villas, The Verandah Resort & Spa and Galley Bay Resort & Spa. Entry is open at www.abc.com/thebachelorette until August 11.

New Zealand

New Zealand’s South Island recently grabbed some time in the spotlight on “Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls” on NBC. 10 teams competed in the survival competition show that showed off the South Island’s trademark dramatic landscapes. You (or your clients) can catch up on the episode at www.nbc.com/get-out-alive.

St. Maarten

The Hennessy Artistry Concert will broadcast live on Saturday, August 3 through the American Urban Radio Network from St. Maarten. Music lovers will get a chance to hear performances from nine-time Grammy award-winner John Legend and Percy Sledge. For clients who can still make it to the island, tickets are available at www.hennessyartistrysxm.com.

London

Season 3 may be over, but Downton Abbey fans can still get their fix at the Cadogan in London. The hotel is offering Downton Abbey Afternoon Tea with Jessica Fellowes, niece of show creator Julian Fellows.
