Ensemble Travel Group recently held its annual Top 25 Celebration on board the Avalon Tapestry, sailing the Rhine River from Basel to Amsterdam. Selection criteria was based on members’ 2008 sales performance with Ensemble Travel Group’s preferred suppliers. Ensemble Travel Group Canada’s Top 25 member agencies also participated in the recognition event.

Mannix, president and CEO of Ensemble Travel Group. “The Avalon Tapestry was a terrific venue for our annual recognition program and our hosts and sponsors really went over-the-top to assure that our members experienced first-hand all that the product and destinations have to offer.”
The Globus family of brands was the primary host of the 8-night river cruise. Globus executives Paula Hayes, vice president of sales, and Larry McCarthy, director of national accounts, represented this long-term partner of Ensemble Travel Group.
While touring the cities of Strasbourg, Heidelberg, Mainz, Rüdesheim, Koblenz, Cologne, and Amsterdam, Ensemble Travel Group’s top producers enjoyed the insights and special connections of celebrated author and TV food and travel journalist Burt Wolf. Earlier this year Ensemble was selected by Wolf as the exclusive agency distribution channel for his 2009 cruises aboard Avalon Waterways. While on board, members also participated in a series of Ensemble business meetings.
