Fareportal and Sabre Collaborate on US Airways ChoiceSeats

handshakeTravel technology company Fareportal reports it has joined with Sabre, to bring travelers additional features and choices when booking travel online. The two companies said they recently launched US Airways ChoiceSeats on Fareportal’s flagship brand CheapOair.com, which was selected as the first online travel agency website to enable consumers to book the airline’s paid seat option.

Both Fareportal and Sabre said they are equally committed to delivering technology solutions that reflect the travel needs and wants of consumers. Consumers seeking online travel solutions are looking for transparency and easy ways to plan and book their travel, including airline extras like ChoiceSeats, which are streamlined on Fareportal’s websites using Sabre technology, they said.

“Fareportal strives to be an innovator within the travel industry,” said Sam Jain, CEO at Fareportal. “A partnership with Sabre allows us to maintain that position and offer travelers progressive and truly reliable one-stop travel solutions with booking options like US Airways ChoiceSeats.”

“Providing travelers the ability to quickly and easily compare and shop for travel is a priority at Sabre,” said Shelly Terry, vice president of Supplier Merchandising at Sabre Travel Network.

Sabre said it continues to make significant investments in technology that enable airlines to differentiate their products and drive incremental revenue through the sale of ancillary products.
