Galileo to Offer Hotel Photos Online

Galileo and VFM Interactive, an online media management company, have joined forces to provide Galileo-connected agents with free, desktop access to photos, videos and virtual tours for thousands of hotels and resorts across the world. The agreement provides VFM's Vscape Lite digital image management and distribution tool to agents so they can upload up to 10 photos per property to booking portals and web sites. Galileo said the tool will simplify the process of ensuring photos are kept up to date and would eliminate the need to upload content to multiple channels. This new capability comes to Galileo from its recent integration with the Worldspan GDS, which has offered VFM's services since 2005.

"It is extremely useful for both travel agents and customers to be able to visualize hotel accommodation when booking hotels," said Louise Meyer, senior director of hotel and car supply and distribution for Galileo. "This new agreement with VFM will enable them to do just that and ensure they are offering their customers the best possible option for their trip." Visit [] or []. (JM)
