Genesis Unveils New On-Line Booking Product

Genesis Travel Distribution System said agents can preview its new online booking product at [www.genesis.travel]. The booking engine allows agencies' customers to book airfare through online without having to call the agent to make the reservation. The booking engine will offer access to full content from all major global carriers, an official with the company said. Full content will include real-time access to GDS fares, web-based low cost carrier fares, charter fares and "more than 30 million negotiated and net fares." Genesis, an agency cooperative based in Toronto, said the actual product launch for January. Agents can customize the online portal to include their name or logo and other individualized content. An official release on the product pegged start-up costs for subscribing to the platform at $500, with monthly fees of $200 plus transaction fees to follow.
