Globus Offers Home-Based Agent Symposium

The Globus family of brands announced the schedule for the company’s fifth-annual Home-Based Agent Symposium with October dates in the metropolitan areas of Tampa, Chicago, Hartford and Sacramento. Partners include British Columbia, Quebec, Hong Kong, Holland America Line, South America Tours, Israel, Jordan, Mexico and Peru.

“We want to help home-based agents put vacations back on client ‘to-do’ lists in 2011,” said Kathleen Kavanagh, manager of the Home-Based Channel for the Globus family of brands.  “We’re asking the home-based agent community to invest in a day with us so we can not only talk to them about products available for their clients but can introduce them to, and in some cases, reinforce the skills needed to succeed in selling travel in today’s market.”

Symposium attendees will have the chance to attend the following seminars:

*    Sizzling City Stays: A must-know for urban travelers
*    Rolling on the River: The phenomena of river cruises and identifying the right clients
*    Packaging Vacations for Profit: Optimizing commissions by bundling vacations
*    Honey, I’m Home: Overcoming obstacles to become successful at a home business
*    Success with Student Groups: Successfully cashing-in on a new group market

In addition to attending seminars, home-based agents can listen to speakers from British Columbia, Quebec, Hong Kong, Holland America Lines, South America Tours, Israel, Jordan, Mexico, Peru and more.

The Globus family’s Home-Based Agent Symposium is being offered in four locations on four dates: October 19 at Tampa Marriott Westshore; October 21 at Chicago Marriott Oak Brook; October 26 at Hartford Cromwell Courtyard by Marriott; and October 28 at Sacramento Hilton Garden.

Registration is required ($20).  Space is limited to the first 100 agents to register.
