Celebrating Hawaii as a premier leisure destination, The Travel Group is proud to announce the inaugural Hawaii Travel Exchange to be held October 25-27 in Honolulu.

The event will bring together 150 hosted, pre-qualified agents who are actively booking and/or have future business in Hawaii with local suppliers representing hotels and resorts, spas, destination management companies, destinations and tour companies servicing the area.

“The Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau is very excited about the Hawaii Travel Exchange. For agents who have not visited Hawaii before, the event will provide the tools and experience to effectively sell and market Hawaii to their clients,” remarked Julie Zadeh, managing director of travel trade marketing for the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau. “For agents that have not visited Hawaii recently, the exchange will provide fresh, new and exciting information and experiences to share with their clients.”

During the three-day exclusive event, both agents and suppliers will be able to take part in multiple exciting networking opportunities, a top-notch educational program and pre-arranged meetings to provide an intimate one-on-one experience. Topics to be covered during the educational sessions include island chapter seminars, tour operator seminars and working roundtable discussions.

“Hawaii is a popular leisure destination and our goal is to continue to drive traffic to the region through education and new relationships that will be built between suppliers and travel agents at the event,” said John McMahon, vice president and group publisher of the Travel Group. “Our proven formula of the most read magazines, the most looked at websites and the most attended events will be replicated for the Hawaii market, resulting in greater exposure of the Hawaiian product to the travel professional community.”
