Home-Based Networking

Las Vegas is always an exciting destination. In December, however, it will stand out even more, when Home-Based Travel Agent Expo & Conference joins the destination's roster of landmark events. More than 2,500 home-based travel agents are expected to assemble Dec. 6-7 for this inaugural tradeshow and conference being held at Mandalay Bay. Jennifer Fernandez

Home-Based Travel Agent Expo & Conference is the signature event for home-based agents. It was designed specifically to address your needs. You'll benefit from a top-notch conference program that includes breakout seminars and panels, accredited modules presented by CLIA and The Travel Institute and general sessions with industry visionaries as keynote speakers. It's the kind of formal training that we hope will really help you increase your profits and expand your customer base from a virtual office.

Meet the Suppliers

Beyond the formal training, more than 200 travel suppliers, both domestic and international, will be available in the exhibit hall each day of the two-day trade show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This wide range of suppliers represents an array of commissionable opportunities and it showcases products and services, cruises, packaged vacations, destinations, hotel and resort properties, host agencies, business and technological solutions and many other resources—all committed to the success of your business.

In addition to CLIA and The Travel Institute, Home-Based Travel Agent Expo has joined forces with a number of the industry's most influential organizations, including the Caribbean Tourism Organization, MailPound and the National Association of Commissioned Travel Agents. As we get closer to the dates of the show, the list continues to expand. In addition, our hosts at the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority are committed to impressing their independent contractor partners in a big way, so expect Las Vegas to really roll out the welcome mat. Mandalay Bay hosts the first annual Home-Based Travel Agent Expo & Conference Dec. 6-7.

Travel agents who attend this year's event will be able to take advantage of a special rate for the show of $109 per night (plus applicable taxes and incidentals). The show will take place all under one roof at Mandalay Bay, so you won't have to go anywhere else to attend the various seminars and sessions.

We know your budget needs to go a long way, and you want to make the most of your educational and networking opportunities. So if you go to any show this year, make it the Home Based Travel Agent Expo & Conference. We've designed the show to give you the advantages of excellent training, ample networking opportunities and luxurious accommodations in Las Vegas.

So be sure to save the date, and visit www.homebasedtravelagentexpo.com for details, reservation procedures and to register online (coming soon).

I look forward to sharing more news in upcoming issues of Home-Based Travel Agent magazine.
