BCD Travel, the Dutch-owned corporate travel agency, has hired Danny Hood, former president of WorldTravel BTI, as president of the Americas. Hood is credited with helping pioneer direct connect technologies, Web-based booking engines and online e-fulfillment centers for travel agencies. As president of BCD's Americas region, he will oversee all travel management operations in North America and South America and the BCD Travel Affiliates program.BCD also announced the promotion of Louise Miller, currently president of the eastern U.S. division, to the new position of executive vice president for global business solutions, sales and marketing. Both she and Hood will begin their new jobs in January. Last month, BCD named Joop Drechsel CEO and John Snyder global president and COO. (AO)
