JAL Hotels Switches to SynXis for Distribution

JAL Hotels, the largest global hotel group in Japan, has switched its NK chain code and its 58 hotels to the SynXis RedX Distribution Management System. The system offers seamless connectivity to the Global Distribution Systems (GDS), Internet Distribution Systems (IDS), and bookings coming from their brand website,  www.jalhotels.com. This includes the Guest Connect booking engine in multiple languages including English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean. JAL Hotels will also use SynXis voice services in more than a dozen languages including Arabic, to address their rapid expansion plans in the Middle East.

“We consider SynXis’ competitive edge to be providing a superior user interface both for customers and hotel users with multi-language selections, improved pricing functionality and seamless integration to other property systems," said Hitoshi Fujisaki, corporate executive officer, sales and marketing for JAL Hotels. “SynXis has also built a reputation for delivering service in Asia Pacific and have proven they are experts in the field of distribution management.”

JAL Hotels signed with SynXis after an extensive search revealed that SynXis had all the international functionality they require plus unmatched support and value. JAL Hotels can operate the RedX Control Center entirely in Japanese and will have local Japanese support from the SynXis team which offers extensive industry expertise. JAL Hotels properties in China, Mexico and Germany will also use RedX and its many other languages. SynXis is part of Sabre Hospitality Solutions and through its relationship with its parent company, Sabre Holdings, offers JAL Hotels many synergies including opportunities to work together with Sabre Travel Network and Travelocity.

“JAL Hotels is a strategic partner in the region for SynXis and will be the cornerstone of our expansion into the Japanese marketplace,” said Patrick Andres, managing director of SynXis Asia-Pacific. “We are thrilled to be working with a chain like JAL Hotels that has properties in all areas of Japan and around the world. We have built a strong team throughout Asia Pacific that will provide support to all of the JAL Hotels properties. JAL Hotels’ reputation in Japan for expertise and excellence in service makes our companies a perfect fit. SynXis is quickly becoming the partner of choice for leading hotel chains in the area.”

Asia Pacific continues to be the fastest growing region for SynXis – increasing its business there by over 500 percent from 2007 to 2008. To accommodate this growth SynXis has expanded its presence in the area by increasing its sales, account management and support teams and has opened offices in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Australia.
