The Bradford Group announced the appointment of Karen B. Hoffman to the position of president. Hoffman was previously the company's senior vice president.
Hoffman has been responsible for developing marketing and promotional strategies for a diverse range of clients from all parts of the world, Asia, Africa, Europe, South America and the Middle East. Hoffman created and initiated the prestigious World Tourism Award, now in its 13th year, on behalf of Reed Travel Exhibitions and co-sponsors American Express, Corinthia Hotels and the International Herald Tribune.
Hoffman serves as first vicepresident on the International Board of the Africa Travel Association (ATA) and received an award from ATA for “Outstanding Promotion to the Continent of Africa.” She is also an active member of Skal, the Cornell Hotel Society and American Tourism Society. Hoffman also serves as good will ambassador in the U.S. for “Just a Drop,” the clean water charity of Reed Travel Exhibitions. She has been a guest lecturer and speaker at many industry conferences as well as at the Harvard Business School Africa Club Conferences and at New York University’s Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management.
