| Vacation.com is hosting its annual trade show and conference at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. |
Vacation.com is planning to provide numerous educational and entertainment opportunities for the 1,200-plus attendees at its 13th International Conference & Trade Show, to be held from June 19 to 23 at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
“Along with more than 150 hours of training, six general sessions, the Preferred Supplier & Destination Trade Show and Power Speaker Wednesday, agent attendees will also have the opportunity to visit a fabulous Las Vegas property, see a hit show for free, attend two evening receptions and schedule pre- and post-conference fam trips,” said Bernadette Stark, Vacation.com’s director of Conference, Event Planning and Education.
On Monday and Tuesday evenings, registered agent attendees will have the opportunity to visit a Las Vegas property for an evening site inspection followed by a hosted reception or dinner one night, and then attend a stage show the other night, based on availability.
Participating hotels include The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas; Trump International Hotel; PH Towers Westgate; Tropicana Las Vegas; Flamingo Las Vegas; and Golden Nugget Las Vegas. Complimentary shows include “Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular”; “Jersey Boys”; “The Lion King”; “Peepshow”; “Absinthe”; “Gordi Brown”; and the “Blue Man Group.”
Pre- and post-conference fam trips include a Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority-sponsored tour and stay at the Tropicana Las Vegas, a two-night Grand Canyon Railways journey; and a Mayflower Tours trip to Hoover Dam and Boulder City, as well as a special pre- or post- rate at the Aston Montelago Village Resort.
“With so many members attending Conference this year to learn about our industry-leading programs and listen to our incredible list of speakers, we wanted to offer a unique array of entertainment options. Las Vegas continues to add new properties and shows, so our members will be able to explore the latest vacation options for their clients,” added Stark.
Conference speakers include keynoters Larry Pimentel, chairman and CEO of Azamara Club Cruises, and Kevin Sheehan, CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line, along with speakers Nolan Burris, president and "chief visioneer" of Visionistics Enterprises; Nancy Friedman, a noted motivational speaker; and veteran tourism industry coach Steve Crowhurst.
