“We are opening the application process three months earlier to recruit a broader base of the industry’s most qualified luxury travel advisors, including millennial advisors,” said Jill Birkett, LTX event director. “LTX has broad appeal because our highly rated educational program – a big draw for the travel advisor community – offers hands-on, relevant content for every interest and professional level.”

Birkett said this year’s program will showcase presentations from industry visionaries, experts, educators and leading travel advisors. “We are always evolving our program to reflect the changing landscape of luxury travel, new trends and valuable input from our advisors each year,” she said.

The successful 2013 program hosted more than 5,000 one-to-one meetings among 700 professional travel advisors and 300 luxury travel suppliers.

The 2014 LTX will be a “hybrid event” featuring a social area that combines a traditional trade show and intimate meetings. The 2014 format will include eight-minute, mutually requested one-to-one meetings that allow participants time to conduct business and discover how they can best fit each other’s needs. Additionally, open exchange floor hours will provide meeting opportunities for advisors and suppliers who were not scheduled to meet one another.

Premium suppliers in attendance will include hotels, resorts, casinos, airlines, cruise lines, destination marketing organizations, industry associations and entertainment companies. Suppliers will be offered a dedicated exhibitor track and educational opportunities as well as the opportunity to participate at a premium level featuring one-to-one meetings and 30-minute fast-track sessions; a one-to-one exhibitor level offering a dedicated set of one-to-one meetings; and a standard level, which will provide a exchange floor booth in the social area.
