M.H. Ross Travel Insurance Services is introducing its Select Travel Insurance Program to the luxury travel market. The program provides $100,000 in emergency medical expenses, $1,000,000 in emergency evacuation and protection for trip cancellation/trip interruption, trip delay, baggage and personal effects, baggage delay, air flight and rental vehicle damage protection. The change is part of the company’s ongoing effort to provide the best possible travel insurance products to its client travel agencies and their customers.
“We made this addition in benefits available because we realized that it was a way to provide quality protection to clients when traveling on higher end vacations,” explains Sheri Machat, senior vice president of M.H. Ross Travel Insurance Services.
The change was made in response to comments from travel agents, who felt that a product for their clients’ more expensive travels would be a strong selling point.
Agents with clients who might be concerned about canceling due to unforeseen work reasons can purchase the optional Executive Upgrade for a flat $30 to cover both trip cancellation and trip interruption. The increased medical coverage can save travelers thousands of dollars, should they become ill or suffer an accident while traveling. The program is underwritten by Old Republic Insurance Company.
