It’s working, Monograms reports. In three months, more than 1,200 travel agents have taken part in – and graduated from – Monograms’ new specialist program, Monograms Booking Agent (called “MBA” for short). That’s an average of 80 MBA graduates a week since the program launched in mid-November, Monogram says.
“Our new independent travel agent specialists have gone through three, core online modules: 1) The Case for Simplified Travel, 2) By Destination – How We Do It and 3) How Do I Sell Monograms and to Whom,” said Paula Hayes, vice president of sales for the Globus family of brands.
“And they’ve each scored a 90 percent or above on the final exam, giving them the title of MBA. By becoming independent travel experts with Monograms, they’re well-positioned to earn twice as much than with ordinary FIT in a third of the time," Hayes says.
And, according to Hayes, Monograms’ bookings are up more than 20 percent with growth in destinations worldwide.
“Our agents and travelers are finding the most value in our Panorama packages like A Week in London & Paris; Budapest, Vienna & Prague and London, Paris & Rome,” said Hayes. “We make it easy for agents to book multi-city and -country packages. In fact, with Monograms, they can book these vacations – everything from hotel stays and intra-vacation transportation to VIP sightseeing – for their clients in just 10 minutes.”
For agents with travelers interested in more exotic locales, Monograms’ top-selling package is Peru Highlights. Or, for something closer to home, Mysteries of the Mayan World is a top-seller, Monograms reports.
Monograms notes that some of the other perks MBA specialists receive include:

· Receiving a $50 Visa gift card with the first deposited booking, post MBA
