National Tourist Office Summit

Officials from the world's leading National Tourist Offices (NTO) will have the opportunity at THE TRADESHOW (September 7-9, Orlando) to network and learn from each other at the third annual NTO Summit. Open to all destinations, the forum will provide a venue for NTO representatives to meet and discuss issues relevant to their specific industry niche.

"This event provides the ideal environment in which NTOs can talk about best practices in marketing their respective destinations and myriad subjects that are essential to the promotion of global tourism," said Roger Dow, president and CEO of the Travel Industry Association.

"It's a prime opportunity for sharing information and experiences relevant to marketing destinations to the global consumer, as well as providing an open forum for tourism leaders to outline common goals and establish ways to work together for the benefit of the entire industry," Dow said.

This year's format will feature presentations, followed by an open discussion, and will examine such topics as: How to promote destinations with the weakening of the U.S. dollar and current fuel pricing; How to work with on-line technology to ensure your destination is positioned correctly; How to attract the best journalists for media coverage of destinations and if the retail travel agent still the best distribution channel.
