The New Orleans Marriott has appointed Mark Barton director of sales and marketing. Barton brings over 15 years of sales experience to the newly renovated 41-story hotel, located in the French Quarter. In his new role, Barton will oversee all sales and marketing activities and assist the sales staff in increasing the property's edge in the competitive New Orleans market, with an emphasis on meetings and groups.
The hotel recently unveiled a new lobby and adjoining lounge, along with chef Mark Quitney's 5 Fifty 5 restaurant, all part of a $38 million renovation.
