New Orleans Visitors Bureau Debuts Certification Program

New Orleans Convention & Visitors BureauThe New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau has unveiled, a website focused on direct communication with travel agents. Through the site, travel professionals can access information about the city's attractions and culture and earn accreditation through a new Travel Agent Certification Program.

Prior to the launch of its new site, the New Orleans' CVB's Tourism Sales focused on individual volume accounts and leisure group business 12 to 18 months in advance, in addition to working through third-party travel professionals to drive domestic and international leisure business to New Orleans.

This spring, travel agents can take advantage of the site's educational platform, including courses, destination guides, itineraries and event calendars. In addition, news updates, special offers, opportunities for travel agents and interactive itinerary maps complement vacation and entertainment videos, feature articles, study guides and quizzes.
