Nexion reports that its 2012 Boot Camps - intensive, two-and-a-half day educational programs - will be held at the Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Texas. Space is limited for the first of this year’s three Boot Camps, set for February 8-10. The spring and fall dates for Boot Camp are May 2-4, and August 1-3, 2012, Nexion says.
Boot Camp is Nexion’s training for both new and existing Nexion agents. Agents either learn for the first time or receive a refresher on the basics of being a Nexion member, how they can maximize their membership for the best earnings potential and, most importantly, how to be a successful travel agent professional, Nexion says.
“This training is a must for new Nexion agents to learn what Nexion is all about and for seasoned agents looking to further their success,” said Nexion President Jackie Friedman, “No matter how long you've been a travel agent, there is a world of knowledge to be gained from attending Boot Camp. Many agents have reported gaining solid leads and new business almost immediately upon returning from Boot Camp.”
Among the various Nexion programs highlighted at Boot Camp is SNAP! Launched in September 2011, the air program is a complete technology, support and training solution targeted to address all the barriers that home-based agents have booking air.
Boot Camp participants also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with Friedman, Nexion staff and suppliers. One of the most popular Boot Camp benefits is Nexion’s supplier roundtables, which allow agents to sit down with suppliers and learn how to better sell a suppliers product, Nexion says. Attendees have ample time to network with fellow Nexion agents to fosters relationship building and the sharing of ideas and best practices.
