Nexion to Host First Stand-Alone Conference

Host travel agency Nexion will, for the first time, hold its annual member conference, CoNexion 2009, as a stand-alone event from October 1-3 in Irvine, CA. All previous Nexion conferences were held in conjunction with another industry event. Ship inspections, pre- and post-conference events and CLIA training are included in the program

“We have been building up to CoNexion 2009 all year,” says General Manager Jackie Friedman. “We’re thrilled to offer an extensive agenda with multiple opportunities for our agents to increase their knowledge and make lasting “CoNexions” through networking with fellow members, our preferred supplier partners and Nexion staff. This will be three special days of incredible energy, expansive thinking and idea generation – all geared to help our agents be successful independent travel professionals.”

CoNexion 2009 includes keynote addresses, panel discussions and workshops on important and educational leisure and corporate travel topics, as well as CLIA certification opportunities. Speakers include Nolan Burris, Scott Koepf and Joanie Ogg. The program includes a trade show with preferred suppliers. Attendees will have a chance to learn about the latest products and destinations and participate in team-building activity geared to help both agents and suppliers gain more sales.

“We’ll also moderate a travel industry executive panel discussion, with leading travel executives. In addition to the conference activities, we have arranged for pre- and post-conference familiarization opportunity and ship inspection events with Disney and Carnival,” Friedman says.

In addition to networking and education, the CoNexion conference includes a 80’s theme party, “Like, Let’s Totally Accelerate Your Success, Fer Sure!”
