Jean-Philippe Perol, director for the Americas at Maison de la France tourism office, has been named chairman of the European Travel Commission, the marketing organization devoted to promoting Europe as a tourist destination. Perol will hold the post through November, and will retain his position with Maison de la France, where he's worked for the last 12 years.
