Phil Davidoff, Former ASTA President, Passes


Phil Davidoff, a respected former president of ASTA (1991/92) and one of the industry’s best known educators, passed away March 19 of pneumonia in Boca Raton, FL. Mr. Davidoff was 68 and held CTC and MCC designations. The Davidoff families were long time owners of Belair Travel in Bowie, MD until its sale.

Mr. Davidoff co-authored with his wife Doris several books on the travel business, agency operations and management. Davidoff gained a reputation as an outspoken champion and defender of travel agents and an advocate of a strong ASTA. His wife Doris, also a CTC and MCC, survives him as well as a daughter, two sons and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 23 in Boynton Beach, FL.
