President Obama to Unveil New Tourism Strategy at Walt Disney World

The U.S. Travel Association and the Orlando Sentinel report that President Obama plans to unveil a new tourism strategy at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. The announcement will take place this Thursday.

While there were no details regarding the nature of the announcement, the Sentinel speculated that it could involve industry-advocated visa reform aimed at promoting tourism from emerging markets, such as Brazil, India and China. That reform got a boost in December when Congress approved the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2012.
