Protravel International Acquires Scotia Travel

Scotia Travel, a Glasgow, Scotland based agency with sales of £ 4 million has been acquired by Protravel International, according to Tony Shepherd, CEO of New York headquartered Protravel International. Protravel International sales exceeded $800 million last year.

Shepherd said that the acquisition will strengthen Protravel's leisure, cruise and golf capabilities and will be managed by Protravel International's London office.

"Scotia is a very well managed company with business divided between the  corporate and leisure market.  They have an excellent client base," Shepherd sad.

Protravel International was founded in 1984 by Priscilla Alexander and today ranks among the top U.S agencies. No price was given for the acquisition. Protravel International is a member of Virtuoso.
