Questex Appoints Richard Feldman as Group Marketing Director for Travel Events Portfolio

Richard FeldmanQuestex Hospitality + Travel has named Richard Feldman group marketing director, responsible for the strategic marketing, advertising and promotion of the company’s extensive portfolio of travel industry events.

He joins Questex after six years with New York-based EventPlanet, an event-marketing agency, which he most recently served as head of strategy, digital and event engagement. As chief strategist, he created event marketing, branding, and partnership opportunities for American Express, L’Oreal, Apple, IBM, NBC Sports, Intel, American Airlines and other clients through social media, digital, mobile and event marketing.  

Previously, Feldman was vice president at International Data Group in Framingham, Mass., a technology media, events and research company where he produced major technology trade shows and conferences including Macworld, which attracts more than 47,000 attendees.

Earlier in his career, Feldman was senior director of event marketing for Saba, a public software company based in Redwood Shores, Calif., that provides e-learning and human resource management software, and director of event marketing for Macromedia, a San Francisco-based graphics and web development software company later acquired by Adobe Systems, where he managed more than 45 trade shows, 400 events, 300 webinars and 12 developer conferences globally with an annual budget of $150 million.

He began his career in 1994 as director of event marketing for Intel Corporation in Santa Clara, Calif., where he oversaw the strategy and execution of numerous global corporate marketing programs.

Feldman holds a certification in Global Meeting Management (CMM) and is a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP). He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in communication.
