Questex Travel Group Appoints Director to Lead MICE Events

Questex Travel Group today announced the appointment of Kirk R. Lewis as director of GMITE portfolio, responsible for leading the company’s invitation-only, appointment-based Global Meeting & Incentive Travel Exchange events that cater exclusively to the MICE segment ─ meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions.Kirk Lewis 

He also will oversee the company’s International Meetings Review, a comprehensive online news source for the global meetings community. 

Lewis most recently was publisher of Meetings & Conventions magazine, published by Northstar Travel Media LLC, where he enjoyed a 15-year career beginning as an associate publisher in 2000, then publisher in 2010. During his tenure, he oversaw the rebranding and relaunch of M&C magazine and its redesigned website, www.mcmag.com, and led a team that developed several new digital products and one-to-one appointment events.

Prior to that, Lewis served as the northeast sales director for USA Today in New York, representing the financial and sports sectors. During that time, he was nominated for Sale of The Year for orchestrating a $4.2 million deal after six months with the company.

Lewis earned dual bachelor of arts degrees in journalism and English at The University of Massachusetts Amherst in Massachusetts.
