Rail Europe launched what it is billing as the first World Wide Web toolbar designed specifically to fit the needs of travel agents. The toolbar, called The Agent Companion, allows agents to easily access European weather reports, a currency exchange calculator, telephone country codes, maps and links to European tourism offices. The toolbar includes a feature that stores a snapshot of any web page as a jpeg file. The Agent Companion also predictably provides a direct route to Rail Europe's products and homepage [www.agent.raileurope.com]. The Agent Companion is available free for download at the site to accredited IATA and CLIA agents. Officials for Rail Europe said they would continue to add features to the Agent Companion in the future
