Rearden Adds 21 Travel Management Firms

Rearden Commerce, which provides an online marketplace for travel services of all kinds, significantly expanded its distributor program, adding 21 new regional travel management companies (TMCs) who will deliver Rearden's "Total Travel Experience." By joining the program, TMCs can offer their customers an integrated commerce platform and marketplace for managing all aspects of corporate travel—from booking to policy compliance—and also to reduce the cost and complexity of corporate travel management. Rearden now has 33 regional TMCs nationwide, in addition to its existing affiliation with BCD Travel (formerly WorldTravel BTI). The news about the additional TMCs was announced at the 2005 National Business Travel Association (NBTA) Convention & Tradeshow, Chicago. The new TMCs include: Balboa Travel Management, BTI The Travel Consultants; Caldwell Travel; Colpitts World Travel; Executive Travel; Fox World Travel; Hamilton, Miller, Hudson & Fayne Travel Management Corp.; Hunter World Travel; Omega World Travel; Piedmont Travel; Plaza Travel; Presidential Worldwide Travel; Safe Harbors Travel Group; Short's Travel Management; S.R. Travel Service; TravelCorp. International; Travel Solutions, Travel Destinations Management Group; USTravel; Williamsburg Travel Management; and World Travel Service. Rearden Commerce provides all TMCs selected for the program with training and tools, as well as certification once course work is completed. Separately, Rearden announced it picked up two major corporate travel customers for its Total Travel Experience platform—FormFactor and MetaSolv—as the result of existing TMC relationships.
