Results! Travel announced its leadership council is expanding its active participation and feedback to try to enhance and develop benefits and services to member agents. The Results! Travel Leadership Council serves as a sounding board for travel agency owners and managers and represents a diverse mix of leisure and corporate travel that vary in annual sales and by geographic regions.
"The travel industry is evolving at increasing speeds. As a result, we need constant input from the frontline and we look to our Leadership Council members to offer their thoughts and insights on how we can better assist our current members, how we can grow our network, and how we can bring greater value to both existing and new members," said John Risner, Results! Travel's vice president and general manager.
Results! said its council met internationally for the first time at the El Dorado Royale, Riviera Maya to discuss the state of the industry, how to improve programs and services offered to Results! Travel members. The 2011 Results! Travel National Meeting will be held in the fall at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center.
Members heard presentations on niche marketing programs for 2011, held discussions on new tools to enhance selling preferred suppliers and heard a state of the industry presentation from Results! management.
"With all of our initiatives, it really is better to talk face-to face about the direction and what’s best for Results! Travel members. That includes finding ways to make our National Meeting more accessible to our smaller agencies who are concerned about taking time away from the office. We worked on finding solutions for their specific needs, because we know once they attend, they will keep coming back time and time again," explained Mark DeGonda of A-1 Travel in Edina, Minn.
