Results! Travel has announced that Orlando will be the location for the 2016 Results! Travel National Meeting, which will convene September 23-25 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando. The theme, “The Next Chapter,” recognizes that this year kicked off Results! Travel’s new Local Chapters program, and the early success of these networking groups has led to higher engagement along with significantly increased early bird registrations, the organization said. Results! Travel is also announcing that leadership expert Haydn Shaw will deliver a keynote address.
One key public policy issue that will be highlighted in detail during the National Meeting is the new U.S. Department of Labor rule regarding wages and overtime compensation under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Results! Travel National Meeting keynote speaker Haydn Shaw has been hailed as a “leadership guru” by The Washington Post and is a winner of the Franklin Covey Chairman’s Award, Results! Travel said. His keynote – Don’t Miss Half the Market: Selling to Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Gen X and Millennials – will address the need to understand the differences between the generations in hiring and retaining employees, as well as, selling and communication techniques. Shaw will also present a workshop entitled “Leading through Change: Why Change Stalls and What You Can Do about It.”
The 2016 Results! Travel National Meeting will also include two social media workshops: “How to Use Facebook for Business” and “Facebook Advertising Made Easy.” These will be specifically customized for the workshop attendees – participants are currently being offered the opportunity to have their specific needs addressed by completing a survey of their skill level and needs. Preliminary feedback already indicates that content will include “benefits and how-to’s of following other brands” and “how to create your unique brand to reach your target audience.” Ultimately, participants will walk away knowing how to better use social media to grow their businesses.
Some of the other workshops include:
Understanding the 6 Change Reactions: Making Change Faster and Easier for All of Us –Since people respond to change differently, this humorous presentation on understanding “The 6 Change Reactions” will help attendees look at change in a whole new light.
Travel to Cuba – Given the island nation of Cuba has been shrouded in mystery for the past 50 years, this workshop will highlight what the relaxed policies governing travel mean for the traveler and the travel agency in exploring a destination that is waiting to be rediscovered.
Selling Cruises - The Right Cruise for the Right Client – This session walks Results! Travel Members through the steps of how to close cruise leads for all generations.
Multi-Generational Groups – Multi-generational travel is increasing every year by leaps and bounds. This session teaches attendees how to effectively plan and market to this group and how best to take advantage of the increase in group travel opportunities, while increasing their client base and adding more revenue to their bottom line.
CruisePRO - Your New Office Assistant! – Attendees will review CruisePRO, a cruise booking tool that makes booking and comparing cruises very simple.
In addition, post-meeting fams include blasting off at Kennedy Space Center or an Airboat and Wildlife Park tour through protected swamps, culminating in a visit with alligators, lemurs and zebras. The fams are open to those Results! Travel Members who complete the Orlando Travel Academy training program.
