Sabre Announces TRAMS Acquisition

Sabre Travel Network announced Monday morning that it had acquired TRAMS, a company providing mid- to back-office functions and marketing services for travel agencies. Sabre says the acquisition puts it in position to serve all the needs of a broad spectrum of agencies, including small and mid-sized companies that are focused on leisure travel. Sabre Senior VP Chris Kroger praised TRAMS' reputation in the agency as another reason for his company's interest in the acquisition, citing a "98 percent renewal rate." TRAMS products include ClientBASE Plus with Live Connect, customer relations management (CRM) software; TRAMS Marketing Advantage, which is designed to help agencies increase their own marketing capabilities; and TRAMS Back Office, which includes several accounting functions.
