Sabre Corporation has released new details on its Sabre Red Workspace travel agency platform.
Developed on Sabre’s merchandising platform and providing access to the company’s GDS, travel agents and suppliers got a chance to preview the new solution at Sabre’s Travel Technology Exchange (TTX) Conference in Miami. After a limited plot later this year, Sabre will begin upgrading travel agency customers to the new platform in 2017.
Developed in consultation with travel agents and suppliers, the new platform will aim to offer a more intuitive interface with smart product differentiation for air extras and Branded Fares, as well as inspirational shopping, in order to help agents deliver personalized experiences to their customers. The platform will also integrate with Sabre Dev Studio APIs and a Decision Support Bar to provide agents with market data and intelligence services for fare trend and range, travel seasonality and alternate airports. For example, the Support Bar could allow a travel agent to advise a client on the best time to book to get the best price, predict the best days to travel or offer alternate airports displayed in interactive maps.
The interface will also integrate revenue maximization tools, including unique indicators to alert travel agents about opportunities to increase sales and commissions.
For suppliers the new Workspace will offer advanced merchandising capabilities, with enhanced product information through images, video and more, as well as support for ancillary and branded fares sales and enhanced hotel capabilities.
