Travel Planners International, a major host agency, said it is proud to welcome back Kim Sherrett as senior director of Business Development/ Recruitment & Acquisitions as part of TPI’s management team. In 2007, Sherrett left TPI to work as National Recruitment Manager for Travel Counsellors and then became Director of Business Development for GTM Travel Group from 2008 – 2009.
“We’re glad to have Kim back as an integral part of the TPI family. Since her departure almost three years ago, the overall services and programs offered to our Independent Contractors have greatly improved. I’m excited about Kim’s professionalism and commitment (Kim just earned her CTC) to the industry and to have her representing our programs. Part of her title includes acquisitions as we are looking at all opportunities to grow our sales and feed our lead generation programs,” said Ken Gagliano, TPI’s president.
Sherrett started her career in the travel industry in 1997 when she worked as an Independent Contractor/ Corporate Agent for six years before joining TPI in 2003 as their Director of Agent Relations. “While at TPI, I was responsible for recruitment and retention of agents,” said Sherrett “It was extremely rewarding as I was able to do what I do best, build and develop long term relationships with the TPI agents. It will be good to work with them again.”
