Signature Travel Expects Record Setting 2013 Meeting

travel agentSignature Travel Network is reporting a number of new developments related to its upcoming Sales Meeting, to be held in Las Vegas, November 14-16, 2013, including registration numbers ahead of past years.

Author and lecturer, Shawn Achor, will be the keynote speaker. Achor is the author of The Happiness Advantage: How Positive Brains Raise Performance. In 2012 his research appeared in the Harvard Business Review.

Signature also reports it will offer a record-breaking total of 68 seminar sessions that will cover a wide range of subjects, such as marketing, technology, sales training, social media, preferred partner product training, destination workshops, database management and more. 

Presenters include Sophie Bujold, Nolan Burris and Robert Joselyn. Destination seminars will include sessions on Mexico, Scandinavia, South Africa and Switzerland.  

Signature’s senior staff will train front-line sales professionals on the latest technology tools and enhancements, review the 2014 marketing plan, and preview the new hotel, land, cruise and destination specialist preferred partners and programs.  

Training sessions for agency owners and managers will cover recruitment, management, marketing and technology. Additionally, a number of Signature partner companies will present workshops on selling expedition cruises, Italy’s luxury hotels, safaris, new river cruises, luxury ranch holidays and more.

Attending travel consultants will receive updates on all participating preferred supplier products during two days of networking sessions, as well as at the annual trade show. The already sold out trade show will feature over 425 individual stands, representing over 800 hotel, cruise, tour, destination specialist and specialty travel partner companies, Signature says.

To attract and retain young consultants, Signature sad it will implement exclusive networking events for its Young Advisor Community (Y.A.C.) travel professionals. Y.A.C. is a network of travel consultants under the age of 40. 

Signature said its objectives are to create forums where young consultants can build meaningful relationships with other travel professionals, provide training and career development within the industry, and deliver useful tools and events especially created for Y.A.C. members.
