Signature Travel Network reports the next stage of its ‘FIRST’ hotel sales marketing program, which will feature the upcoming Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London. Signature’s ‘FIRST’ marketing campaign seeks to drive sales and generate awareness for soon-to-open properties or major re-openings of existing hotels.
Ignacio Maza, Signature’s executive vice president commented, “Signature clients will be in the know regarding this exceptional new hotel and all it has to offer our clients starting Spring of this year. We have launched a comprehensive plan to support the opening of this very unique property, including consumer marketing, communications, sales training for our front-line travel consultants, and more.”
Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London, is located in the city’s historical district of London Bridge, between floors 34 and 52 of the iconic building, The Shard, now one of Europe’s tallest structures at over 1,000 feet high. Shangri-La’s first property in the UK will feature 202 guest rooms, including 17 suites, among the largest in the city. All accommodations will feature floor-to-ceiling windows offering views across London. In addition, the hotel will offer three wining and dining venues, an infinity pool, 24-hour gym, and more, Signature says.
At Signature's most recent sales meeting, the company announced notable additions to its hotel and resorts program. For 2014, the collection adds over 60 new hotels and resorts, bringing the total number of properties to 803 hotels in 450 destinations.
In addition to new programs, the company is coming off a year of membership growth. The network now includes 215 member agencies with 417 retail locations throughout the United States and Canada. Collectively, Signature members generated over $5 billion in annual travel sales, the group says.
Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts currently owns and/or manages more than 80 hotels under the Shangri-La brand with a room inventory of over 34,000.
