Signature Unveils First-to-Market Technology

Signature Travel Network reports the launch of more cutting-edge technology advancements in tablet publishing, mobile apps and social media at this week’s Sales Meeting and Trade Show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“These new technology tools will bring value to current clients as well as aid members in harvesting new customers,” said Michelle Morgan, president of Signature.

Signature is entering the tablet space with the launch of its dedicated interactive online publication, The Travel Experience, next week. This cross-platform consumer publication will be available for clients on the computer, as well as on iPads and other tablets using html5 technology. This interactive publication complements Signature’s printed magazines with new content, featuring integrated video, photo galleries and quick facts.

Karen Yeates, vice president, Internet business solutions, said, “Travel consultants will add the link for downloading The Travel Experience directly on their website. For greater exposure, travel consultants will send regular email blasts for each new edition, as well as have the ability to email clients one-on-one to tell them about the publication, and even bookmark pages so that clients can go directly to a particular article, destination or interest.”

Additionally, Signature launched the new proprietary mobile app, Pocket Travel Consultant for both Apple and Android devices, in October. Signature believes this to be the first consortia’s consumer app to market.

The Pocket Travel Consultant provides clients with in-depth information about the cities they’re traveling in, on demand, 24/7, even while traveling internationally. The app is customized with each members’ brand and call-to-action, backed with Signature’s technology. The app is free for Signature travel consultants and free for their clients.

Signature also reports it has enhanced myTravelSite, a travel blogging and social media site for both travel consultants and their clients that launched last year. Yeates explained, “We are making a big push this year to fully engage travel consultants and clients in the benefits of using myTravelSite to share their experiences. We’ll be reaching out to travel consultants to ensure they are trained on how to create travel blogs, how they can invite their clients to create their own travel blogs, and we’ll assist with marketing efforts.”
